Terms of Service

Last updated 8 September 2026

These terms govern your use of the Lejo apps and service, operated by Lejo Express Inc. of Brampton, Ontario, Canada. By creating an account you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What Lejo is

Lejo is a marketplace. We connect people who want a parcel delivered with independent drivers who deliver it. Lejo does not itself carry parcels and does not employ the drivers who do. When you book a delivery, the delivery is performed by an independent driver, and Lejo's role is to match you, price the job, take the payment, and give both of you the tools to complete it.

Your account

Booking a delivery

You tell us where the parcel is going and what it is. We quote a price before you commit. The price depends on the market you are in and is made up of a base fare, an amount for distance and time, and any applicable taxes; a minimum fare may apply. You pay the quoted amount when you book, and only then do we begin looking for a driver. If we cannot find one, the booking does not proceed and you are not left paying for a delivery that never happened — contact support and we will return the payment.

Tips are optional and go to the driver. Prices may change over time and differ between markets; the price you are shown at booking is the price for that booking.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancelling a delivery in the app does not automatically return your money. If you cancel, or if something goes wrong with a delivery, raise it through Support in the app. An operator reviews it and issues a refund where one is owed. We aim to respond within two business days.

We do not currently charge a fee for cancelling. Refunds are returned to the card you paid with. If a driver could not complete a delivery through no fault of yours, tell us and we will put it right.

What you may not send

You are responsible for what you put in a parcel, and for it being legal to send. You may not send:

A driver may refuse a parcel they reasonably believe breaches this list, or that is not what was described when it was booked. We may close the account of anyone who repeatedly tries to send prohibited items, and we report what the law requires us to report.

If you are a driver

Conduct

Treat the other person in a delivery decently. We do not tolerate harassment, threats, discrimination, or violence, and we will close accounts over it. Contact details shared for a delivery are for that delivery only: do not use them for anything else.

Ratings

Customers and drivers may rate each other after a delivery. Ratings help us keep the service safe. Persistently poor ratings, or a single serious incident, may lead to an account being suspended or closed.

Our responsibility, and its limits

We will provide the service with reasonable skill and care. But Lejo is a marketplace, and we do not guarantee that a driver will always be available, that a delivery will arrive within any particular time, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

Where a parcel is lost or damaged while in a driver's care, tell us through Support. We will investigate and, where the loss is attributable to the delivery, compensate you for the value of the parcel up to CAD $100 per delivery, unless we have agreed a higher amount in writing before the booking. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses — lost profits, lost opportunities, or the consequences of a late delivery — and our total liability for any delivery will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for it and CAD $100.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you are a consumer, you keep every right your consumer protection law gives you, and these terms do not take those rights away.

Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, or where we are required to by law. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. You may close your account at any time.

Changes

We may change these terms. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. Continuing to use Lejo after that means you accept the new terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction. If something goes wrong, please contact us first — most problems are settled quickly through Support in the app.
